Kayak down the Diable River and discover the gorgeous scenery of Mont-Tremblant in this intermediate level 5-7 hours descent.

Description

Our 5-7 hour descent with small rapids (23km) offers an intermediate level descent by kayak on the Diable River in Mont-Tremblant, just minutes from Tremblant resort will give you the opportunity to discover all the hidden corners and magnificent scenery along the way. It includes a small Class I rapid over 800 metres (depending on water levels) at the beginning of the descent. After that, it’s a relaxing trip down river. You can go at your own pace, stopping along the way to birdwatch, swim or picnic on the riverside. Our shuttle takes you to the start point and then back to the reception at the end of your trip.

Location

10 minutes from Tremblant resort, in the municipality of Mont-Tremblant (not in the National Park). Approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Montreal and Ottawa.

Duration

5-7 hours. Return time can be organised with the shuttle driver.

Included

Lifejackets, paddles and up river or down river shuttle.

Please note

Not suitable for beginners, paddling experience recommended. Please note that kayaks are easier to control and more stable than canoes.

Please bring water, lunch or snacks, sunscreen, bug repellent, hat.

Calm dogs on a leash are allowed.

Conditions

Minimum 8 years old.
Maximum 2 adults per canoe.
Maximum 600 lbs / 272 kg per canoe.
Absolutely no alcohol is permitted during the descent.
There must be at least on adult (18 yrs+) participant per group.
A piece of I.D. must be left at basecamp and will be returned when the equipment is returned.
Calm dogs on leashes are permitted.
