Dog sledding is a sport. Participants will be active during the ride.
This full day personalised dogsledding tour offers you the opportunity to fully enjoy nature with your team, spending an extended period of time on the sled and getting to know the dogs while learning all about dogsledding.
You will spend 1h30 on the trails before stopping at the half way point where a traditional meal will be served in the heart of the forest. Afterwards, the ride continues for another 1h30.
Your guide will teach you about local wildlife as you head deep into the Laurentian backwoods. You will travel off-trail and enjoy the absolute quiet of nature during your rest stops.
Our guides will decide positions on the sleds. (If you have a particular position request please make it known to our guide when you arrive). There will be one driver and one or two passengers per sled. Adults will usually, but not always, drive their own dog sled with an adult passenger. Passengers and drivers can switch places half way through the excursion. Children may be required to ride as passengers on the guides’ sleds or ride on parents sled.
