The Via Ferrata is a hike on a rock cliff equipped with metal anchors, cables and bridges that are crossed as you ascend the cliff face. A mix of hiking and rock climbing, the route includes a steel cable lifeline to which you are attached the whole way, making the activity safer and advancing easier since there is no need to clip and unclip your harness.
Different Via Ferrata routes offer a variety of levels from easy to advanced and are all supervised by certified guides.
You will start the activity by taking an easy 15 minute hike from the chalet to the foot of the cliffs of Cap Beauséjour and the start of the Via Ferrata. From there you get into the ascent of the rock wall of over 197 feet, the equivalent of a 20-storey building. Along the path, while connected to the continuous life line, you will climb steps and handles, and cross different types of bridges, all allowing you to reach the top of the cliff. Thrills guaranteed!
From the top, you will go down the mountain on a hike of about 2297 feet to reach the base camp.
