Comments:  Fantastic experience, the best one we have ever done. The security deposit process is poor. 5 working days on and no refund on CC. Also, you must state that the deposit is $2,500 PLUS taxes. For overseas visitors, this was a surprise.

Our website says Credit card for $ 2500 +tax security deposit (Visa or Mastercard only, no cash).

Our reservation email says it as well. We don't want it to be a surprise. Yes, its a big amount but it is equal to the insurance deductible AND it keeps drivers behaving cautiously. Like with any pre-authorisation for a credit card, its your bank who releases it. The time it gets released is, unfortunately, out of our hands.

Comments:  The provided equipment was great with both comfort & performance, although for hygienic reasons I'd appreciate I was not forced to use the provided hood due to mine being "too thick to fit a helmet with" - surely they could've got me a bigger helmet to compensate? The ride itself was enjoyable, sufficient time was spent on the trail, which was a good mix of slopes & plains. The vehicle was in good condition. Instructions was clear & easy to understand. As an intro tour it was adequate. The tour was quite expensive comparing to other region's offering.

Comments:  Our group felt the experience was very boring and very expensive for what it was. There were no points in which we were able to go fast or really get to experience the SkiDos because the group in front of us was going very slow. We were very disappointed to see that it was the same trail back as well. It felt more like a commute than a tour.

Comments:  Everything was awesome but we were disappointed in where the snowmobiling went. Seemed we simply ran parallel with the highway. Thought we'd be going down trails, up a mountain with scenic views. Again, the guides were awesome but nothing really to look at.

Hi, Thanks for your feedback. I am happy to have the chance to explain.

We really try hard to avoid accidents. Its one of the main reasons we send guides out on the trail with you.  Before we leave we do thorough security breifings and clearly explain how to avoid them, as well as the consequences of driving a new $17 000 snowmobile. Unfortunately, fender benders do happen somewhat regularly. To give you an idea, we do 3 tours a day, every day, all winter, and we have one of these about every 2 weeks. 

Yes, snowmobile parts are very expensive...like car parts, and especially vehicule body parts. With us, you are only responsible for the "deductible" portion of the repair cost which is $2500. Our insurance takes care of any amount above the deductible. We also offer the possibility to purchase, entirely at your option, a reduced deductible of $1000 for a cost of 50$. To be completely transparent, we will be sending you a copy of the repair bill so you can see the actual cost.

Comments:  Need more clarity as to what to expect. The night snowmobile description mentions sunsets, wilderness and a few more things where in reality we go on a single flat trail, I realize that a night trip is different but it needs to be more clear during the booking process that you are going to simply drive in a single line

Thanks for the feedback. We are reviewing our descriptive text. We are 6 days after the shortest day of the year with a 4:05pm sunset, and the tour starts at 6:20 pm. I don't see anywhere on our websites that talks about sunsets since there will be no sunset on our evening tour until mid-march. All our snowmobile tours are on public, 2 way, snowmobile trails and we drive in single file.

Comments:  On the whole, this was a great experience. I had no problems with the operator, they were very friendly and helpful. I would've liked to be taken on a more interesting route, prehaps more challenging with winding tracks rather than straight tracks next to the highway. But I understand that the snow wasn't great where they usually take the tour so maybe I visited on a bad day. But I really enjoyed the experience all the same.

Thanks for your comments. This is really a ride for beginners. You may have just been with a faster group. We have however noticed this problem happenning a bit more than usual. We will be re-organizing the way we split up the groups to balance out the rider levels.

Comments:  Activity was fun and perfect for first timers. Guides were professional and the equipment was clean and well maintained. Great experience there! Operator would do well to consider getting a limited liability insurance for the skidoo as the $2500 deposit almost made us cancel the trip. I have rented before at other companies and had a non refundable $45 insurance premium which is a lot easier to handle than having $2500 free on my Credit Card. I paid 2 deposits ($5000) and my bank immediately blocked my card until I called to confirm. It's hassle I rather not have. The Price for the rental could also be a little less. But the equipment is new and not warn out so I think price wise it was steep but acceptable for a one time activity. I would come back for a discount next week 😉

Comments:  Eric was our guide and took us for a 2 hour tour. He was fantastic and friendly. The "very minor" criticism I would have is, we were paired with a couple in our group that never rode a snowmobile before. They should have a "beginner" adventure. We did have to wait a little bit for them to catch up when they went off course and needed help bringing the machine back on the trail - luckily they were not hurt. Once they go a hold of it, it was fine after that. The trail was fun, plenty of time for each driver to handle the snowmobile (an hour each). If I were to do this again, I would do the all day version. It was a great fun day! Highly recommend it!

Comments:  I did a snowmobile tour with Tyroparc on Feb. 4, 2017. Tyroparc requires a deposit of almost $2,900 when you arrive at the facility. Who does this? I’ve never had to put a deposit on any equipment I have ever rented. Owners typically have insurance. This should have been a warning sign for me, but I made a stupid decision and continued on. I started the tour and became very comfortable with the snowmobile. I quickly acquired a grasp of acceleration, overall speed, and maneuverability. I proceeded through many curves where I properly decelerated and steered the machine. About 30 minutes into the ride, I decelerated to go into a curve to the left. I turned the handlebars to the left while slowing down but the snowmobile did not respond. It went off of the trail on the righthand side where the grade increased. The right ski came off of the ground and I was thrown from the snowmobile. The snowmobile did roll one time before it came to a stop. The entire group stopped and the guide made sure I was ok and could continue with the tour. He inspected the snowmobile and decided that its condition was fine. He gave me his snowmobile to finish the tour and he drove the other one back to the facility with no problems at all. When I returned, Stephane (Tyroparc guide) showed me the damage on the snowmobile. He told me “it’s not bad at all”. We looked over the entire snowmobile and he showed me three things that were wrong: 1) part of the windshield would have to be replaced (Stephane estimated $30), 2) one broken mirror, and 3) one bent rod in the frame. Stephane again reassured me “nothing to worry about”. Although I did not think this was my fault at all, I decided not to protest. I returned home the next day with the expectation that I may see an invoice for a couple hundred dollars. I tried, unsuccessfully, to get in touch with Tyroparc for an entire week. On Feb. 10, I received an invoice from Tyroparc for over $2,200, replacing 29 parts. They basically built a new machine at my expense. I have tried to reason with them, but they are completely unwilling to. Since they kept my deposit, my only leverage now is to proceed with an attorney.

Comments:  Both the operators were excellent and very professional during the explanations and the drive. The clothes/boots they gave us were perfect and we felt warm all the time. For the activity itself, we were expecting to drive in a more wild environment, like mountains and forests, landscape, places to stop for a nice view, but there was very little of it, most of the time we were crossing roads or driving straight in urbanized/open space fields.

Comments:  Everything was fine but we have a little accident and after that the guys took a $1000 from my credit card and said that the next day they will estimated the damage and will return the rest of the money.They said that is small and it is not expensive.I call them many times to asked what happened and they didn't pick up the phone and didn't call me back.Even I went to their office and they told me they are not there.Finally they charged me 965$.I am totally disappointed and I will tell to all of my friends to never go there.

They are hard to reach because often out on the trails. We are getting in touch with the head guide for your snowmobiling and we will look into the damages. Comments:  The activity was good, but the length should be longer based on what some other competitors offer in the area. The operator was ok, could have been more outgoing and explained what the activity center was and where we'd be sledding through. The facility is a bit rundown and not pleasant. We have done this previously at other places, and I would prefer to hire them instead of this operator.

The machines were in excellent condition and drove well. The conditions were great and the trails were in top shape. We had a full 2 hours on the trials and thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors.

Comments:  the ride was very poor and they used the same route back and forth. 5 years ago i made the same trip and activitity and there is a big difference now. the tour was very poor and the first time we drive at half way to a cabin and they had free hot coffee, hot chocalate and even free drinks with a hot chimeny. this time was more expensive and nothing compared. i wont ever recomend this tour.

 I have discussed your comments to the guide to be able to answer to your questions. In fact the ride does not go anymore to the cabin as there are no services anymore on that place.  It seems that the only difference from the ride you had previously done is that we were not able to pass around the lake, which would have lengthened the tour. This is because it was not frozen.

 Should you come back next year, please ask us about what OTHER options we have that might suit you better. We would be happy to offer you a 20% discount on a future snowmobile tour.

Comments:  It was described as 2 hours up in the mountains. It was 1 1/2 hours, along a trail at the base of a hill. I don't feel we got what we paid for, and it WAS expensive. We were a family of 5 - would have been nice if we got some kind of family price. It cost something around $700 - a lot of 1 1/2 hours.
