National Park Activities Mont Tremblant

Discover the natural beauty of the oldest and biggest park in Quebec – the Mont Tremblant National Park. Created in 1895 as the first park in Quebec, it is now a world -famous destination attracting visitors and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the world, four seasons a year. With its massive territory covering 1500 square kilometres of forests, mountains and waterways, including 400 lakes and 6 rivers, the park hosts a variety of landscapes, flora and fauna. Its many outdoor activities and natural beauty along with the unparalleled hospitality of the region, entice and enchant visitors. Among the multitude of exciting activities the park offers, some of the favourites are the Via Ferrata and the Canoeing descent of the Diable River.

Via Ferrata Mont Tremblant

Via Ferrata in the National Park is a unique mountain activity that will allow you to explore rock faces and cliffs without having rock climbing skills. You will be safely clipped onto a metal cable that runs along the cliff and climb the rock face using handles, built-in steps, beams and bridges. Once you reach the clifftop, you will be rewarded with a spectacular view of the surrounding mountain range. Two routes are available- “The excursion” is 500 metres long and takes about 3 hours, and “La Grande Viree” is 1000 metres long and takes about 5 hours to complete.

Canoeing National Park Tremblant

Canoeing down the Diable River is another must-do when visiting the National Park. During this descent from Lac Chat to the cliffs of La Vache Noire, you will follow the river’s twists and turns while observing the kaleidoscope of landscapes -majestic maple forests, the stunning rock face of La Vache Noire and beautiful sandy beaches. You can choose either a self-guided trip or a guided trip with a park warden – a naturalist who will navigate you along the river while sharing knowledge and observations about the surroundings.
