Description

Our Guided 4×4 ATV Tour in Mont Tremblant lets you trythe latest off-road craze, with the added safety of 3-point seatbelts and a roll cage, this 4-seat (Kawasaki Teryx 800cc) ATV model is perfect for the whole family.

Our guides will first give you a safety briefing and training session on driving an ATV. No experience necessary. The tour will start with our guide leading the way at a gentle pace while you become comfortable with the machines.

Explore our popular trails through mountains and forests

You will then be ready to enjoy our Guided 4×4 ATV in Mont Tremblant. Drive your own Kawasaki side-by-side vehicle or enjoy the ride as a passenger as we explore the popular Club Iroquois trails that run run along the northern edge of the National Park. . There are plenty of photo opportunities as we wind through the mountains and pine forests.

Our machines do everything an ATV can do and much more. Twice the horsepower, 4-wheel drive and long travel suspension make our ATVs able to navigate through tough terrain.

Our group sizes are deliberately kept small to ensure all our guests have a personal and memorable experience.

Know before you book :

  • All drivers must be 18 years old.
  • 5 years minimum to be a passenger.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license to be a driver, not a learners permit.
  • Only up to 2 participants will be able to share the driving. There is only one stop to exchange driver and passenger. So a vehicle with 3 to 4 participants, only 2 will be able to drive.
  • Off-road trails are forest trails with dirt, mud and rock (no sand dunes).
  • Pregnant women cannot participate.
  • A Visa or Mastercard is required for a security deposit of $1500 per buggy (maximum deposit of $3000 for groups).

  • Our base is 35 minutes from Tremblant resort. We are situated less than a 2-hour drive from Montreal and Ottawa.
  • Duration: 1h30 including briefing and instructions of 15 minutes.
  • Please note that the security deposit is reversed upon return if no damage, but will take about 5 business days or more for your bank to reverse the charge.
  • For guests who choose to reserve in advance (recommended), directions to meeting points will be provided in your reservation by email. Otherwise, directions will be handed to you when you reserve at The Activity Centre.
  • Prices do not include taxes or mandatory resort royalty of 3% and may be subject to change without notice.

When should I reserve?

A day in advance is sufficient. We often have same-day availability.

How fast do you go?

From 15 to 25 km/h.

I am not 18 years old but I have a valid driver's license and I have driven an ATV before. Can I drive one ?

No, because of insurance policies you must be 18 years old or more to drive.

Can I go without a guide?

No, we only offer guided excursions because they offer a higher level of safety.

My teenager under 18 yrs old wants to go but no adults will accompany him. Can he go?

Yes, but he would be a passenger with the guide.

We have more passengers than drivers. Can we still go?

Extra passengers can be seated with guides according to availability.

Is the ATV difficult to drive ?

No. It has an automatic transmission and drives the same way as a car: Gas pedal, brake pedal and steering wheel.

Comments:  Based on previous experience, we found the 4x4 dune buggy to be very loud, hot, and not well kept. It's clear that they require some level of maintenance as they shouldn't run as they did under normal conditions.

Comments:  The activity is about 1 hour long, I would do 30 minutes and charge half the price. I think it's too long and it gets boring at the end. Helmets should be age appropriate, I found them too heavy for my 6 year old daughter and she was not comfortable wearing it. Also they should all have face protectors, the dirt/dust in the eyes is not enjoyable.

Comments:  Had a wonderful experience with the Dune buggy 4x4. Staff gave great direction from choosing our helmets to informing us how to operate the buggy. Trails were really cool and scenery was beautiful. Great value for money. Only thing I would like to have done was be more adventurous and take the buggy’s to rougher trails.

 Hi. You were there at the right time. 4:00 meeting time for a 4:30 start. We used to have guests arrive 15 minutes in advance but often people were late. Then that would make the next tour late(as its very difficult to shorten the tour). Its also very difficult to leave one late party behind when there are other parties who are on time. Really there are no easy solutions to the problem of late arrivals. If everyone were like you it would be fine...but they aren't. Thankyou for being on time.

Comments:  This activity and all other activities were great fun. The guides / staff on site were great and very patient. All worthwhile. rnrnOver all & I did other activities ( fishing &horseback riding) the only complaint or suggestion I have is that advertisements to the activities should be better... Bilboards, Signage, information while driving, along the way to the various activities should be added, this is a most for people that are not from the area. Directions on a paper Are not for everyone. Maybe even a shuttle to and back from the various activities.

 Hi. Thanks for the comments. Glad you enjoyed your dune buggy tour, horseback riding and fishing. Interesting suggestion for signage, but we simply have too many activities to put signs up. Signs here are also subject to a complex permitting process that involves several levels of government. For all of our activities we provide driving directions in a few ways

-written directions with address if you choose to have a paper reservation confirmation

-written directions as well as a google map link in your email reservation(everyone gets one by email)

Thanks for letting us know. This has recently become a bit of a recurring comment. This ride is 1.5 hrs INCLUDING the 15 minute safety/driving breifing at the beginning. So it is supposed to be 75 minutes (or 1h15) on the trails. We will try to make that more clear in our communications.

Comments:  There were 3 of us including my adult son and wife. My wife actually hated this experience as she did not expect to be bounced around so much hurting her neck for a week and the dust was impossible so much so that even our car had to be cleaned after. I support her completely and the information provided was not accurate, Further we were not provided rain pants or top which we thought would shield our clothes from this horror and all the dust. There was another older woman on the tour who echoed our comments when we spoke w her.

One of the fisrt thing I do when I get feedback like this is to check where you saw our tour and then look at the description with fresh eyes. I just looked at our website where, according to your reservation, is how you found out about it. The text does a good job of describing it as an offroad adventure. The video shows lots of bouncing around on rocky dirt trails. I don't really see anythng we can change to make it more accurate except that ponchos are offered only when it rains.

Comments:  The booking reservation says a 1.5hr activity. When booking, the agent told me we need to be there 30 minutes early to register, and the activity would be 90 minutes (1.5hr) on the trail. The tour was only 61 minutes long (started at 1:00 finished at 2:01). The trail guide was excellent. He was very polite, helpful and courteous. We all really liked him and had a lot of fun on the excursion.

Comments:  We were told the dune buggy activity would be 1.5 hours (and it shows 1.5 hours in the brochure as well). It was in fact 1 hour. Also, the photos advertising the activity are deceptive. It shows a dune buggy going over water and rocks which was not at all what we experienced. The terrain was exactly the same the entire ride AND I was a bit disappointed that we went 30 minutes one way and then came back the exact same way (instead of doing a loop). The guide was great but we wouldn't do it again. Thanks.

Comments:  Our guide was wonderful! He was energetic and competent and courteous and friendly. He explained the activity and limitations of the dune buggy quite thoroughly and kept a watchful eye on us. The tour was thrilling and a great adventure. It took a few minutes to build up a comfort level with the dune buggy to match the difficulty level of the course, but the 90-minute duration allowed us time to become accomplished dune buggy drivers.

Comments:  The operator guide was amazing. Very nice and courteous. The problem was that the brochure says you will get Polaris 4x4 and these were all Kawasaki units. There was also mention of the possibility of swimming in a lake on this excursion this was not possible either. The trail is mostly boring and the name of the activity, although I knew there were no sand dunes is very misleading.

Thanks for taking the time to write. We bought new machines and did not update the website. Its done now...thanks. We chose to call them dune buggys, because its clearer than "side-by-side" for to people who are not in the know about recreational offroad vehicules. Ummm...we don't mention swimming though.

Comments:  Our operator was fantastic! Fluent in both official languages, and although I have experience in off-road vehicles such as ATV's he still took the time to go through his preliminary walk through and safety talks, never assuming what I knew. (My girlfriend and I were the only people on the tour that morning.) The UTV was nice and easy to drive. The trails were great as well. This activity wasn't necessarily our favourite thing, simply due to everything that you can experience in Tremblant! I suggest you go on this tour!

Comments:  The expense was disproportionately high and the tour was rather boring, not highlighting the unique features of the region. There was so much emphasis on protecting the vehicle that it sent a chill through the cautious oriented people.

Comments:  Guide was good, he explained all the facts and safety rules very well. Buggy was dirty, noisy suspension, steering in bad condition. The ride did last less than one hour. Few months ago I paid $120 for a new polaris in Morocco for a 1.5hour ride experience in the desert dunes.

Comments:  Should have been described as an ATV rental, not dune buggies. Would like to see the activity separated by skill level, so we are not stuck in a group with slow people.rnFound it tacky that the operator asked for tips.

Comments:  The helmets we were given were dirty and obviously not cleaned between tours, including the visors... That's unsafe and unsanitary. The vehicles themselves also are obviously not cleaned daily and the mirrors are loose and won't stay in place. Considering that part of the trip is on public roads, this represents a real danger and violates every known safety standard for vehicles in Canada. The conditions if protective helmets and vehicles can only be described as substandard and hazardous. The activity centre would be well advised to review whether the activity should be maintained as something they recommend and promote.

Comments:  The wheel on my buggy was never screwed in properly and it broke off whilst I was driving. This is very dangerous and the activity provider must never be allowed to put clients in such danger!
