1000 metres long (green, orange and red route below), our Via Ferrata – La Grande Virée takes approximately 5 hours including a 40-minute walk back to the departure point.
Discover our National Park from an all new perspective, in a unique mountain experience, our Via Ferrata Mont Tremblant. Established and already popular in Europe, “via ferratas” or “iron roads” have been springing up all over Quebec in the last few years.
This exciting route is built onto the Vache Noire rock wall. Located in Mont-Tremblant park, our Via Ferrata Mont-Tremblant promises to be chock-full of surprises! Whether you are a beginner, intermediate or advanced hiker, you will never forget this adventure, which you will embark on with our guide. Clipped into a steel cable that runs the length of the cliff, you will cross a challenging face with built-in steps, handles, beams and various types of bridges while overlooking the meandering Diable River far below. After making a 200-metre ascent, you will be struck by a spectacular view of the mountains and horizon.
No rockclimbing experience is necessary to experience our via ferrata. A brief course will help you learn the basics of via ferrata before tackling the trail. All required safety equipment is provided. Expect some physical exertion.

Comments: Jean Sebastien was an awesome guide! Super friendly, very professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. He catered to our group of Francophones and Anglophones perfectly. He also made us feel safe and secure throughout the entire experience. Give that man a promotion! The Via Ferrata was also a good challenge, with magnificent views! The dinosaur hunt was fun too.

Management Response:
Our water levels vary all year in the National Park. And can even vary day to day. We use flat bottomed, plastic, river canoes that are designe to be able to scrape over sand and rock. This is simply part of river canoeing.
For beginner who may be wary of this, we recommend our Guided Canoe Discovery here https://www.tremblantactivities.com/a-tremblant-park-canoe
