Summer
The first section takes about 1h30-2 hours and offers a physical, yet relatively easy ascent. Along the 1968 foot (600m) route, while connected to the continuous life line (you are always connected to a steel cable), you will climb obstacles such as ladders, metal steps and handles, and cross bridges, steel cables and even a chain swing between two sections as you ascend to a height of 196 feet (60 m), the equivalent of a 20-storey building!
The second section of about 45 min is more similar to rock climbing, with a vertical ascent up the cliff face that offers a real physical and technical challenge. The views of the entire region from the top are well worth the effort! From the top, you will go down the mountain on a hike of about 2297 feet (700m) to get back to our base camp!
No experience necessary to participate to our Via Ferrata Mont-Catherine excursion but it is important to note that the level of difficulty of the route is moderate to difficult. Guests looking for a slightly easier challenge may prefer our Via Ferrata and 2 mega-ziplines.
Winter
Get the same challenging experience but during the winter! Duration of 2h (may vary), hike of 450m to reach the parishes of Via Ferrata with continuous lifeline. Here’s your itinerary: 350m long, height of 60m at the top, return on foot to the reception (750m), pass through 3 rope bridges, two steel cables, 1 Tibetan bridge, 3 steel cables and 5 beams.
