River Ziplines

Everyone will have a blast on our 18 ziplines ! Up to 50 feet high and 400 meters long, our ziplines run through the forested back country of the Laurentians and fly over a cascading river most of the way down. Get ready to be blown away !

Our ziplines are great for families with children because of their continuous life-line system, which means that participants are secured to the cable from beginning to end.

Try our combo! Combine our ziplines with our new Tree Climbing Adventure!

Our Tree Climbing Adventure takes place in a forest glade, next to a creek and surrounded by maple, basswood and birch trees. This unique activity will allow you to discover the forest from the perspective of the birds and squirrels as you climb to the top of mature trees belayed by a guide, using hand and foot holds that are installed to protect the trees and their bark.

There are 4 trees to climb over the 1 hour duration, with increasing level of difficulty and height as you progress from tree to tree, with the highest tree reaching a height of 16m/52′!

Start out with our river ziplines (2h) and end with our tree climbing activity (1h), which is located at the end of our ziplining course, for a total of 3 hours of aerial fun!

It is possible to only do our Tree Climbing (1h) activity for children 5 years and older, please call The Activity Centre directly at 819-681-4848 to reserve.

This activity requires some physical exertion and is up to 50 feet above ground. The activity is supervised by qualified guides. All participants have to be in adequate physical condition or they may be denied access to the activity.

Conditions

Minimum 8 yrs old. Minimum 1m20 or 3’11”. Maximum 250lb/113kg.

Maximum waist 1m17 or 46”.

Minimum 2 participants for the regular individual prices. No expectant mothers. Participants must wear closed shoes and hair must be tied up.

Children 12 yrs old and under must be accompanied by an adult participant or not.

How is this zipline activity different from the others ?

When should I reserve ?

A day in advance is sufficient. We often have same-day availability.

Is the activity safe?

There is an element of risk in all outdoor activities. The risk is minimized and here is how: During the briefing on the ground, you are taught how to manipulate and handle equipment properly. You are taught and given the time to practice with an experienced operator before going up into the trees. A qualified guide follows you from the ground. For the ziplines, you are attached at all times by a continuous lifeline connected to a steel cable. The guide ensures your climbing during the Tree Climbing Adventure.

Comments: We were very disappointed that there was only one guide for 10 people doing this zip line. With only one practice run, guide sent seven of us on the lines and then we never saw him again. At minimum, there should be two guides on this type of zip line, especially with 10 participants. FYI I’ve already submitted a review on Trip Advisor.

Comments: This activity surpassed our expectations, our two guides were helpful & very nice! The climb to the zip line was beautiful and a work out on its own. I would recommend this activity to anyone. The prices were also good for a larger family. We also had an opportunity to visit the dogs, made our daughters day! 🙂

Comments: Simon our guide was perfect. No issues. Problem was that hand fishing was on our tour and we did not include that in our reservation. We stood around for 45 min waiting for the others to finish handfishing. While ziplinging, we were rushed from platform to platform by others ziplining behind us. we had not done it before and the rushing ruined our experience. We had to stop without finishing the course as we did not feel comfortable rushing all the time. The people behind us did not wait until we left the platform before coming down the zipline to our platform. There would have been three on the platform, which is not allowed. Also, one of the platforms seemed unstable.

Comments: Fun all the way, you get to hike a little bit, water is available with use and throw cups at every segment of the zipline. You get GoPro helmets from the operator, what else one needs to have fun :), must do activity.
