ROCK and ICE CLIMBING – Montagne d’argent

GPS is not a reliable way of finding many of our departure points for a variety of reasons. Please use the link below, and only use GPS as a secondary aid. We recommend bringing/renting a car in Montreal if you are coming to visit the Mont-Tremblant area and want to get around easily. We are in a rural area so taxis/rideshare can be limited or delayed in high season.
YOUR RESPONSABILITIES
1.You must dress appropriately for your chosen activity, wear comfortable flexible clothing for climbing. Boots are provided for ice-climbing. For rock climbing please wear good sport shoes. See http://www.tremblantactivities.com/whattowear. For our full-day, please pack a lunch.
2. You must be at the designated meeting point on time. There are no refunds for no-shows or latecomers.
DIRECTIONS FROM TREMBLANT RESORT – 17 minutes driving time
1. Exit Tremblant and drive towards the roundabout at the north end of Montée Ryan facing Lac Tremblant. Go around the roundabout and onto Montée Ryan, heading away from the lake, towards Montreal and hwy 117.
2. At the next large traffic-circle adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre continue on Montée Ryan.
3. At the end of Montée Ryan turn right at the lights towards Mont-Laurier to get onto Highway 117 North. The on-ramp is between the highway and the Tim Hortons.
4. Drive 3.3 km, and turn left onto Rue de la Montagne d’Argent.
5. Continue 3.8 km until the large blue and white sign for Montagne d’Argent.
6. Park along the road and walk 200m up. You will be greeted at the cabin on the left hand side.
DIRECTIONS FROM ST-JOVITE, MONT-TREMBLANT AREA – 8 minute drive
1.Get onto Highway 117 north.
2. Pass Exit 119 for Tremblant and continue North Bound.
3. Drive 3.3 km, and turn left onto Rue de la Montagne d’Argent.
4. Continue 3.8 km until the large blue and white sign for Montagne d’Argent.
5. Park along the road and walk 200m up. You will be greeted at the cabin on the left hand side.
DIRECTIONS FROM OLD TREMBLANT VILLAGE 17 minutes driving time
1. Take Ch. du village from the Old village heading south. You should pass the church on your left as you leave the village otherwise you are heading the wrong way.
2. After a couple of minutes you will pass the fire station on your right then cross a bridge over the Diable River. You will arrive at the large traffic-circle adjacent to the Tourist Information Centre.
3. Take your first right onto Montee Ryan towards highway 117 – Montreal.
4. At the end of Montée Ryan turn right at the lights towards Mont-Laurier to get onto Highway 117 North. The on-ramp is between the highway and the Tim Hortons.
5. Drive 3.3 km, and turn left onto Rue de la Montagne d’Argent.

FROM MONTREAL – 2h drive:
Take autoroute 15 North to Ste-Agathe. After Sainte-Agathe, the 15 North merges with hwy 117.

FROM OTTAWA – 2.5h drive:
Take autoroute 50 East. Take 323 North to Mont-Tremblant. Turn left to get on hwy117 North in Mont-Tremblant. Follow DIRECTIONS FROM ST-JOVITE, MONT-TREMBLANT AREA above.
