Not sure which style fits your visit? Here's the honest breakdown of what each one delivers around Mont-Tremblant.
The Laurentians are home to La Route Verte, a network of paved and protected cycling paths connecting Mont-Tremblant to Saint-Jovite, Lac-Supérieur, and the villages to the south. Rolling terrain with moderate climbs, open farmland, lakeside roads, and small towns. E-bikes are a strong choice for riders who want to cover more ground with less effort, or for groups with different fitness levels. Our rental e-bikes have a range of 60–80 km depending on assist level and terrain.
The VDMT trail network starts right from the Tremblant resort area. Trails are colour-coded by difficulty and range from wide, smooth flow trails suited to beginners, to technical north-shore-style lines with drops and rock slabs. The terrain is rooted, rocky, and in places quite steep — this is real mountain biking. Full-suspension trail bikes are the standard choice; hardtails work well on the easier trails.
Fat biking uses oversized 4" tires that roll over packed snow or forest trail with surprising grip and stability. Trails are groomed separately from the summer mountain bike network, and the riding experience is slower and more playful — think steady effort, quiet forest, and a totally different relationship with the terrain. No prior mountain biking experience needed. If you can ride a bike, you can fat bike on groomed trails.
We have bike rentals available at two convenient locations within the resort area. Reserving in advance is strongly recommended during summer weekends and long weekends, as fleet availability is limited.
Our resort location puts you steps away from the Mont-Tremblant mountain bike trail network and the resort-area paths. Pick up your bike here if you're staying at the Tremblant resort or heading straight onto the mountain trails.
Our Saint-Jovite location is the best starting point if you're riding on Le P'tit Train du Nord and La Route Verte network, or exploring the surrounding countryside by road or e-bike. Also convenient for guests staying outside the resort village.
The Laurentian trail network is shared by riders of all abilities, as well as hikers and other outdoor users on multi-use sections. These habits keep things moving well for everyone.
