Our Mont Tremblant Falcon activity, the Apprentice Falconer Hawk Walk, takes place right on the Tremblant resort. Accompanied by our falconer and a trained raptor (a Harris Hawk), the apprentice will get to experience the thrill of calling a bird of prey to their gloved hand. During this hawk walk activity our falconer will introduce the apprentice to the basics of falconry including:
- The characteristics of birds of prey
- The historical and modern importance of falconry
- Falconry equipment
- Bird handling and free-flight
Equipped with a glove, a falconry bag and food for the hawk, each apprentice will call the raptor to his or her glove several times. A must for the animal lovers on your Tremblant vacations!
